Ministry Teams

The Altar Response team assists those who have responded during our ministry time or outreach events. This team also assists with new commitments, rededication and prayer request. The Altar Response team is a vital part in a follow up process designed to help connect people to the body of Christ, encouraging them in their walk as they grow to develop into mature disciples.

The care ministry team is purposed to take the love and compassion of Jesus to encourage, support and celebrate the body. We minister compassion through hospital visitations, praying for the sick, support in bereavement, and celebrating new births. We minister love through celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, special recognition and achievements, Baptisms, and Baby dedications.  Care ministry ministers to the whole body by celebrating and effectively responding to the needs of our congregation and community.

The marriage mentor ministry is established to provide support, encouragement and guidance for engaged and married couples through prayer, counseling, small groups and social gatherings.  This ministry helps deepen and enrich already established relationships and encourages couples progressing towards marriage to lay the biblical foundation for a strong and healthy marriage. Leaders conduct pre-marital counseling and lead small groups that connect other couples at different life stages to encourage newly married couples to grow into mature married couples.

The youth ministry is dedicated to impacting a generation of high school students through campus outreach and discipleship. This ministry aims to cultivate healthy relationships among students while challenging and maturing their faith through prayer and encouragement.  Students are supported in their everyday lives as youth leaders, through relational ministry, are committed to being a part of their lives. We celebrate them and (take out and) attend their games, plays, and events. The purpose is to empower the youth and to impact their schools with the love of Christ as they seek the Lord’s will for their individual lives.

By welcoming visitors, the new visitor ministry is committed to warmly engaging each person on their first visit to our church. This ministry seeks to follow-up with visitors and connecting them to Cornerstone Summit’s members and opportunities to get involved.  Cornerstone Summit is excited to meet and establish relationships with new visitors through a process that transitions them from first time guests into the Community of Believers.

Parking can be a challenge at almost any church, we believe that it can be a ministry opportunity. Our parking ministry is committed to welcoming members as they direct traffic flow and assist people into the house before services. This ministry serves as a representation of the church from the street to the front door, making the first point of contact with newcomers and members alike. By serving each person that enters the parking lot, our parking ministry hopes to prepare each person to receive all that is in store for the service for that day.

The usher team is a group of men and women with a heart for attending to the needs of the body. This ministry guides those that come to worship and helps maintain order with the flow of service. Ushers assist in seating members, taking up offering, and provide support for leadership and assist ministry guests to service during each visit.

The Hospitality ministry is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment to newcomers and members. By personally greeting individuals as they arrive to services and events, team members are available to direct, assist, or answer questions. This ministry strives to facilitate a place where relationships, interactions, and engagement throughout the congregation is encouraged and assist in church events throughout the year.

The Synergy and Discipleship ministries are structured to help develop mature followers of Christ and support spiritual growth. These ministries help connect individuals to community and allow them to get plugged into opportunities for the building of their faith.

The synergy ministry is designed to offer opportunities for relationship building and spiritual growth. Synergy groups are held throughout the year ranging from 4- 6 weeks to once a month. Synergy groups cover a variety of biblical and life skill topics that allow members to connect with one another and develop in their walk with the Lord.

The discipleship ministry helps to equip individuals to be developed into mature, Christ-like believers. The purpose is to build relationships through prayer, encouragement, training, and tools that empower others to advance the Kingdom. We offer discipleship groups for both men and women.

The Children’s Church and Nursery ministries support the growth and building up of the next generation of believers. We believe that by creating a place that supports the development of children, we will see a young generation continue to grow and flourish to create positive impact in their schools, families, and community.

The Nursery ministry helps to nurture foundational spiritual and relational principles by careful oversight and facilitating lessons in fun and creative ways. The nursery incorporates an environment of care and learning to see children flourish and grow..

The children’s church ministry builds on the foundation of nursery and is a support for parents and families as they raise godly children by cultivating the Word through songs, skits, and games. Our ministry workers strive to encourage healthy relationships with other children and allow innovative ways of learning, creativity and interaction to mature in their walk with the Lord.

The Media Team is an exciting group of individuals who are directly involved in the production of our services. The team consists of operating sound, lighting, video, and photography. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced veteran, we would love to have you come and join our media team.
